Wisdom From A Trailblazer: Ruby Bridges Talks Racism In Education: In 1960, six-year-old Ruby Bridges made history when she integrated a New Orleans elementary school under the escort of US Marshals. She is widely known as the first African-American to attend an all-white school in the South.
